It's #emacsconf #2025! I didn't watch live but I'm catching up. I found this interesting because it outlines 3 very different ways to interact with #llm's. I must admit I'm not yet confident enough to hand over the keys to an agent until I'm satisfied with […]

I would hope most of my followers are already pretty skeptical of #rfkjr's autism claims. The internet's #hankgreen has done a deep dive into one of the bogus claims if you want to see how the lie was constructed:

You can see September came in hard and now we are paying for energy again. Hopefully we can hold on longer before the central heating starts taking up it's chunk of cost. #homeassistant #graphs

Ok that #fork diagram is looking a lot better than the last one. Fixed a lot of bugs in the data processing and I am starting to see some useful #information in the diagram. #qemu #kvmforum2025

Continuing to experiment with plotting the #fork network of #qemu for my talk at #kvmforum2025. I need to figure out a way to filter out normal developer forks from the rest.

The latest #homeassistant has #sankey diagrams for energy flow. I obviously need more energy tracking #sensors for the house ;-)

Dear #lazyweb,

I think I've reached the limit of #matplotlib trying to graph the forks from a #git repository. What I want to to plot the slowly growing trunk and then show the relative sizes of the forks from where they start in the trunk to their current […]

Sitting in the shade enjoying the first day of my holiday and I'm already half way through Rory Stewart's "Politics on the Edge". It's a beautifully written if slightly concerning run through his political career and how the system fails us. #ukpolitics #books

There are many things wrong with #twitter's approach to moderation but at least asking for a community note when #grok gets it so very wrong worked:

I guess #ukraine have figured out that #trump won't apply pressure on #putin so they have to do it themselves:

Dear #lazyweb does anyone know how this navigational marker should be tagged in #openstreetmap? I've been going through the wiki and I can find how navigational buoys are tagged but so far nothing for land based marine navigation aids. I believe the marker lines up with the inland lighthouse.

One thing that is very noticeable walking around a place that has no sheep is how much more variety there is in the ground cover. The pictures yesterday are mostly from the small islet of Gugh which is still recovering from a fire in 1972 but nevertheless […]
