Either way, it's important to point out that my points come from the PoV of looking at Bridget as a character in a story as opposed of trying to treat her as real person. But Bridget is a character within a story, so you kind of start to consider that her resolution is genuinely pretty messed up.

Note that I'm very careful with pronouns. Arguably, the rant would be far less vague if I were switching pronouns more to distinguish between old and new versions of Bridget, but I'm aware that it would most likely be misinterpreted.

It essentially reframes her initial victory from asserting her own gender identity to merely asserting her ability to pursue new roles while still agreeing with the gender her family tried to force onto her.

Basically, a lot of this discourse ignores how genuinely fucked up her upbringing was, how her initial arc was heavily focused on asserting her own identity against it and how her new lore basically makes it look like she lucked out with her gender identity fitting most of what her family expects.
