100%. i think when people defend centrism or bipartisanship, they're really defending compromise, the exchange of ideas, collaboration, fair representation, etc. these ARE valuable concepts, but only within a political system designed for progress and the common good

Not a Jill Stein supporter BUT — the DNC’s motivation for energy conservation/alternatives is to “keep up w our energy demands”. The GOP thinks they can keep up w fossil fuels & nuclear alone. Same priorities & imo incidentally delaying our otherwise preventable demise is not a worthy distinction.

I’ve been learning about the diversity of thought within the communist party of the Soviet Union. It’s inspiring to see good faith ideas competing for a shared goal of progress. Centrism fails when you’ve got a controlled opposition that’s persistently on the wrong side of history.

I think of centrism as “if King Solomon actually cut that baby in half.” Everyone loses when your guiding principle is a false equivalence of “both sides” with no regard for truth or morality.
