It’s mind breaking to just ponder that people lived through Covid and thought: “yeah, let’s give him a mulligan on his last term and let the rabid wounded aged hyena have power again”.
sigh #tbt
There are many reasons why Trump must lose. But if you need another one - don't let this maniac take over the FDA

I used to say we all died in Covid and this is hell but today I saw W Bush give a eulogy for earth Satan and it may have been before that.
”the guy with the nuclear codes is totally crashing out because he’s morphing into a cornered tasmanian devil” is a news summary i just gave a friend because i live in a very normal country

I really want to believe.
Someone should be talking to a lawyer.

Like now.
There it is.

And as expected, overruled by OLC’s “Murder Memo.”

Just eliminate the field goal. change the name to Scrimball or something. If I wanted single digit final scores I’d watch more hockey.

Elon literally floated this for his thin air robots last week in front of stockholders. The robots that keep you from doing crime before you think about doing crime.
trump should honestly consider this? imagine how low crime would be if everyone had a troop or a cop assigned to them to follow them around
my signature policy will be "A Soldier In Every Home"

I’m not entirely certain we didn’t all die and this is hell. How could it be all that different.
sometimes it will just hit me that over a million americans died from covid in a short period of time and we never had a national mourning. we never collectively grieved. we never honored the dead. this feels like a failure

Republicans have been working with foreign adversaries on hack & leak operations to win elections while Biden’s DoJ just sat on evidence his political opponent participated in the most notorious pedo ring in history.

I’ve had money, and I’ve lost it all. I understand the desire to alleviate the pain in any way but at a certain point blame needs to be assessed to the proper assholes that want us to starve. This dickhead should never have been on the ballot.
I don't even think it's really about SNAP. I think it's that a lot of people they work with on a day to day basis are about to miss their third paycheck in a row, rent is due, and the holidays are coming up.

I'm not saying it's right. I don't really know what the right thing is here. It sucks.

I really love Jack White solo and The White Stripes but I’d be happy as a pig in shit to never hear Seven Nation Army in any form ever again.

These are people that aren’t scared of ever losing another election.
their plainly stated goal is to starve forty million people until they get what they want, which is to rip health care away from millions more

that this is too monstrous for most news organizations to tell the truth about does not change the facts
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

I didn’t join Twitter until 15’ and it really opened my eyes to how many Nazis and straight up fascists there were behind keyboards. Now it’s all out in the open. Basket of deplorables was understated by orders of magnitude.
Like pretty much everyone in that era he bet wrong on where the nation was headed
JD presented himself as so much more moderate in 2014 and in the Obama era it probably made a lot of sense to him to marry this nice Indian woman from a rich family, he thought he could be one of the "enlightened" Republicans but now that he's courting white nationalists she's a problem.

We can trace this back to a million things. Comey in October 2015. McConnell holding up the SCOTUS pick. Barr drowning Russiagate. McConnell again killing the impeachment. But it’s democratic‘s fault I guess.
letting SNAP expire right before thanksgiving and right as health care premiums skyrocket, on paper, seems like the kind of thing destined to be the downfall of a regime, setting aside that it’s gonna be a very thin christmas for a lot of people because of tariffs
I really don't think they've thought the ramifications of letting snap run out if money

You could argue that, ethically, shattering these kneecaps is the right and proper thing to do. It’s the trolley problem, but the choice is between millions of malnourished children and a few kneecaps.

I’d pull that lever.

It’s hard for me to believe Trump believes in hell or heaven. I don’t think he’s smart but he’s smart enough to use religion as a tool and reign in the idiots.
It’s been 36 hours and I still can’t stop laughing about how Trump knows he’s going to Hell 😂

I loath Hemingway in all his works. I never understood the draw. Salinger sucks too.
Most "classics" are boring as fuck to a modern reader in no small part because the context of the story is not understood by them and so many of the allusions and "inside jokes" known to then-contemporary readers have been lost in time and in translation
Tell me your most unhinged literary opinion, as a little treat
