It's the 6th anniversary of Elijah McClain's senseless killing by cops and paramedics and there's yet another police shooting of a Black man tonight.

The Aurora Police Department is rotten at its core. There is no redemption possible at this point.

It's eugenics and that is a key component of fascism in all modern iterations. Both Trump and RFK Jr have been saying and doing explicitly eugenicist things things for years, but many didn't pay attention to them/probably bought in a little because they were "just" targeting disabled people🤷🏻
That Trump and Trumpism are fascist doesn’t explain the sheer vandalism of unleashing mass murdering mayhem via RFK to replace medical/scientific institutions of immense value and prestige with medieval peasant superstitions. That is a criminal madness facilitated by but above and beyond fascism.

We're in the Orbanization of our media system now. It's happening.

Every mainstream Dem politician should be primaried, at this rate. If nothing else, the NYC primary showed that dark money can't quite challenge a groundswell of door-knocking volunteers who support a candidate who doesn't seem to be a corporate/military-industrial complex shill.
what this is, above all else, is the biggest green light we’ve ever seen for Dem primary challenges

the Dem base is deeply, deeply angry at the party for not doing more to oppose Trump and the door is wide open for anyone who is serious about doing more on that front
New WSJ poll: The Democratic Party is 30 points under water with registered voters, considerably worse than the GOP (-11). www.wsj.com/politics/ele...

Have just realized that the silly “Bezos wants to buy Vogue as a lavish wedding gift for his bride” story that’s been circulating is inaccurate - Bezos wants to buy Condé Nast which owns The New Yorker,Teen Vogue, Wired & Arts Technica because he is an oligarch who wants to crush all dissent.

Look, obviously it is contradictory for DHS to be celebrating literal "new" immigrants as the nation's "heritage" in order to justify deporting immigrants.

But, this is some seriously mask-off white supremacist settler shit right here.

When I explain to people that I think our public school days are limited, this is what I mean. Loss of funding mixed with shortages will lead to more teachers burning out and fleeing the profession. This is working as intended, and this was the long game.
"We don’t make enough money to put up with this."

Last year, US K-12 schools opened short 55,000 teachers. Between book bans and political attacks on schools and educators, it's looking like this year's shortages will be even more dire, especially in red states.

This math applies to incarceration more generally. When we criminalize poverty, addiction, and mental illness it means we spend more money on incarceration than it would have cost to deal with the things we criminalized.
