NHS and HE worker, Luton Town, Germanophile, New Order, happy to pay tax & make everyone else do the same.
I normally support England

Driving licences are for driving. ID cards are not the same thing
October 2, 2025 at 11:10 AM
ID cards prevent the rich from hiding from their responsibilities. That’s why the Tories and Farage are really against them.

They require payment, lessons, passing a test & British citizenship. They are not universally available.Poor Ppl living in rancid accommodation don’t have those resources.

A driving license is a licence only issued to ppl who have passed their driving test in the UK. A passport is a document that is only issued to ppl who wish to travel abroad.

Hope this helps.

Cards are physical in Germany. Probably a safer option. I’m aware of Palantyr & the like.
October 2, 2025 at 7:58 AM
It’s the rich who are against this as they won’t be able to hide their property behind an offshore scheme. ID cards are used in this way in Germany & other EU countries. Stops rogue landlords ripping off vulnerable people, too

There are so many French people living in London: 300-400,000, which makes it equivalent to the 6th largest French city. Apparently.

Good God, it’s like he’s turned into Blair without actually doing any of the good stuff in the beginning. Deluded.

If they’re on zero hours contracts it’s not exactly, in their eyes, a priority
