today i learned i never actually bought the ps4 version of the ffx remaster... i have it for ps3 and obviously i have the ps2 og

SO much content that honestly i was getting fatigued by the stuff that didn't fall into the romance epilogues, but that means it'll be a reason to come back when i miss everyone. great for a FD though and i just... adore these characters so much!

(i just have the omake chapters left and then i'll be done and dusted on this game and finally shut up. i've been having so much fun though. i usually burn out on vns way sooner but playing both back to back has been EXTREMELY satisfying. it was the right choice for rn)

Additional point: Clair Obscur's third act is a thematic loop about how delaying the inevitable isn't healthy. You may feel temporarily good, you might even feel like a God among ants, but all you're doing is becoming a rotting husk and running away from inevitability.
Seeing other narrative design people say that Clair Obscur had a bad 3rd act or bad ending(s)…I just can’t follow you there man. That shit ruled. Sorry. You break the combat wide fucking open and then get your choice of doing genocide or walking toward Omelas and saying “torturing that child rocks”
