The Trump administration’s political strategy is to stay in a news dominance mode to convey positive action to supporters and people who normally tune out to the administration. They are using one of President Trump’s strengths (dominating news coverage) to convey his actions more regularly.

Summation.

Existing waivers by the Department of State and on humanitarian should allow for the flow of $8.2 billion in undisbursed obligations. However staff reductions and lack of clarity of the scope of the reductions plus being cut off from email has significantly impacted USAID’s capacity 1/

*suspension of CBP1 Aslyum seekers which cancels 30,000 appointments.

Clarification ~ Trump is not ending birthright citizenship in the executive order yet to be seen.

He is pausing federal agency recognition.

This will end up in the courts.
