I went ahead and gave it a try, and it works! You might be able to preserve a little more detail by adjusting the fuzziness, too.

Deer-ly Beloved Pt. 63: The Plan for Tonight
"Well, you're very forgiving," says Clover to Junebug. "Just know that you can tell her if she does anything wrong. I promise she won't hate you for it." Abruptly, the doe turns away from Junebug, moving toward the direction she came from. "Are you leaving?" the little dragon asks. "Yeah. I meant it when I said I was sleepy earlier." She doesn't turn back to look at him as she replies. The dragon gets to his feet, still clutching the ruined paintbrush, and watches her walk away. As she departs, she speaks again: "I'm going to curl up with my doefriend and forget the world for the rest of the evening."

Decided to revive and revamp an ancient OC of mine!

Deer-ly Beloved Pt. 62: Me and My Big Mouth
"I didn't know I was cuddly..." says the little dragon, almost just to himself. Leaning in, Clover clarifies: "What I mean to say is, she's not usually so thoughtless." "It's really okay," says Junebug. A very sour Clover rebuts him. "It isn't, though! She's been so rude to you all afternoon, and wasted your art supplies." The little dragon smiles. "Well, yeah, but she's been lovely otherwise! We talked about art, our inspirations...and you, a little." His eyes light up suddenly, and he turns to face her. "She told me you like to sing!" The words have barely left his mouth when at once, he clamps his hands over his snout. "Wait, I wasn't supposed to say that." A very annoyed Clover simply rolls her eyes and grumbles a noise of frustration.

Deer-ly Beloved Pt. 61: Not Wrong, Though
Daisy, happily enjoying some clover (the plant), turns her gaze toward Clover (the doe) and Junebug, as they carry on a conversation she can't quite make out. Suddenly, Clover shoots her a sharply disapproving glare, stopping her in her tracks. "Uh-oh," she says, as a sense of foreboding washes over her. "She's getting to you, isn't she?" Clover says to Junebug. "Daisy? No, she's--" the dragon tries to answer, clearly startled by the question. "I just--" Finally, he lowers his head and replies again. "...Yeah, a little bit." "It's no excuse for her behavior," says Clover, "but you're the first dragon she's ever seen. And I don't think she expected you to be so...cuddly." She makes a face as she says the last word, like it tastes funny. "Cuddly?" the dragon repeats as a question. He'd never really thought of himself as being cuddly. "First word that came to mind," says Clover.

Deer-ly Beloved Pt. 59: If a Look Could Kill
With Daisy successfully preoccupied, Clover approaches Junebug. The dragon is crouched sullenly at the edge of a small creek, handling a wet paintbrush. "What are you doing?" she asks over his shoulder. "Cleaning he brush Daisy was using," he replies. "I don't want the ink to dry in it." Clover's face drops sympathetically as he continues, "It looks like some did, though. I think this brush is ruined." She turns a hostile eye in Daisy's direction, which quickly sours as the dragon utters a resigned, "That's okay."

I found an ox beetle on a midnight walk last night! 🪲

They handle a lot like june beetles, but much larger and pointier. A real chunky lummox of an insect, and my favorite to hold.

(Labeled because not everyone finds bugs to be as endearing as I do.)
When I put down my hand to get the ox beetle to crawl onto me, he did so by burrowing himself between my fingers. This wasn't the most comfortable position, and I managed to get him into a better spot after a few minutes. Ox beetles are fun to handle because they have these big ol' serrated leggies. They poke a lot when they scamper around, which verges on painful but I wouldn't say it actually hurts. The plant I released him on. I was just glad to get him away from the footpath and trolley route where I'd found him, heh.
