Half of the United States has been slowly and carefully inculcated by Fox News to believe that the other half of the country is their enemy and out to ruin their lives. Once this was established, it didn't take long for those viewers to value hurting these other Americans over helping themselves.

I love this idea.
Hey NBC and Seth Meyers, y’all need to book the largest possible venue in D.C. on April 26th and do a competing fundraiser and comedy show that actually celebrates the First Amendment. Televise it. Make Amber Ruffin the central act. Send a message that free speech is non-negotiable.

Elon Musk has committed a blatant felony by offering money for votes in order to help Brad Schimel. This is a chainsaw attack on democracy and the rule of law. Musk should be brought to justice immediately. 🧵

Ah, come on . . .
New WSJ:

Pete Hegseth brought his wife, a former Fox producer, to two meetings with foreign military counterparts where sensitive information was discussed.

One meeting was a high-level discussion at the Pentagon between Hegseth and U.K. Secretary of Defense Healey. www.wsj.com/politics/nat...

Tesla pays $323 million a year in taxes to China for its auto plant there.

But it pays $0 for its plants in California and Texas.

Americans should think long and hard about this. Perhaps US tax laws are the problem with US finances.

You’re sickening
Bondi says she thinks Signal is a safe way to communicate and foreign adversaries can’t hack it (the US intelligence community begs to differ … )

Nora’s not wrong

Simply firing all or most of the people that make a department function isn’t efficient

It’s destructive
Intentionally

It’s criminal
Tanden: That's not government efficiency. You would fire an HR manager who did, who had that level of incompetence, who fired all these people and then begged them to come back.

Pam Bondi is a worthless not at all public servant

She lets her boss’s people slide no matter how great the crime

Fraud prosecutions from DOGE - 0

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.
