You can always try dual booting and just play around with it whenever you want, the disc space does not need much. You can even boot the os onto a usb

I think i'm here to stay on Cachy for now, but moreso on Arch, I want to understand it more and take back my ownership of my PC.

My closer friends know of the struggling i've had in the last few weeks with this OS, but some knowledgeable friends and general wonderful community members of Linux VR Users, have helped me immensely to bridge the gaps i've had thus far.

Not everything is supported well yet, like my favorite art programs, but i think in due time with the rising popularity in linux and especially arch based systems, thing will improve faster and faster as time passes. These smaller drawbacks for the time being, was enough to make me take the jump.

I've become a big fan of the Aur Package delivery and Git Clone distribution from switching. So i feel pretty comfortable on arch based Distro's and feel pretty good about learning more now. the initial learning curve is a little rough, but really worth it for if you want to own your computer more.

There is a really nice "Snapshot" feature within Cachy OS that i grew to love for incase i mess something up, i can go back to exactly how my computer was before said instance, it captures this almost every command that would change a attribute in your konsole, and you can take notes on them.

Learning the Konsole in some senses you can make easier via some visual GUI's that are available, but i've grown fond of the standard Konsole Text installer, by using commands like "yay Blender-Launcher" or the more proper "Yay -Ss Blender-Launcher" to find stuff. that or using Git Clones was good.

Because of these issues, i installed Cachy OS and then after a second reinstall of the OS, i learned why my system would fail kernel updates poorly. after these installs due to poor widgets that i did not verify at all, I got pretty proficient at installing and beginning to learn the konsole more.

When picking an OS, i first chose Endeavour OS, since i picked it in the past for dual booting and was familiar with it. the last time i used it i ran into issues with kernel updates (which i learned now was due to KDE giving too much access to widgets. [widgets are like scripted themes n stuff.])

for starters, my original reason for swapping was because i was fed up with ads within my general operating system of windows 11 and the general OS breaking updates they have performed on my pc multiple times this year. I wanted a pc i can trust and have more control over without targeted ad's.

I plan on just using 1 on each foot as i don't have a metal floor, and also don't see much value having knee tracking too much for my activity.

aslong as your floor is not made of metal, you should be perfectly fine with the lite.

This channel does go over the foot use case.
