I stopped a lady who was walking and looking down and make her look up at the bright pink cloud above. Then I showed it to her on my phone too. Neither of us had seen the aurora borealis with the naked eye in the city. She thanked me :)

We are not leafless yet! We have some brave little maples, loads of linden/basswood, and of course oak trees

Check out how big this ginkgo leaf is next to my size 9 women’s US shoe. Not as big as the giant catalpa leaf, but huge compared to all the other ginkgo leaves!

The leaf is about half the size of my foot, while the smaller ones are about a tenth the size of my foot My foot next to a a giant catalpa leaf. The leaf is about twice the length of my foot and three times as wide. There are lots of brown fallen maple leaves around too
