I get where they were going, what they were trying to say, but what editor would ok something so fucking tacky?? This ain’t just the writer, this is the failing of a few people.

As a kid who listened to mostly punk emo and metal, I used to absolutely loathed pitchfork. They’re nowhere near what they used to be though, and have at least always a good source for news.

Fitting because the entire aesthetic of Pitchfork was idolizing bands like Static Youth but turning on them the second they achieve any success outside of their tight snobby circles. I knew people like that, they view music as a way to be cooler and better than others but don’t actually like music

I think younger voices have slowly snuck in and replaced the sad bastards of the old guard. It’s not that I agree with their reviews now, but I can read them without rolling my eyes and muttering “oh ffffffffuck you!”

Somewhere between their two reviews of Andrew WK’s I Get Wet there was a change.

Would’ve been out already if last month didn’t have some personal stuff that ate up a lot of my time and stressed me the hell out.

I have something like that for my phone and flashlights. Maybe my laptop, that kinda thing. Came with a little solar panel too! Nothing that could run a tv and a ps4, but definitely could charge my switch!
