On January 20th, thousands of cattle endured extreme heat on the MV Gelbray, suffering cramped, filthy conditions for 40 days. This inhumane live export trade must end.

Look at the photos of them, see their stress & fear.

Right now, animals are being forced onto the Jawan 🇵🇦—

🚢 7 levels of cramped pens— 4 open, fully exposed to the elements
💩 Already covered in their own faeces before even stepping onto the ship.
⚠️ Zero welfare protections at their destination.

🔹 The Deala, a 49yo ship, has been abandoned off Croatia’s coast for 10 months, raising pollution fears in a protected marine area.
🔹 The Bahijah, forced 8,000 animals to suffer in horrific conditions for 3 months.
🔹 The Lady Maria, a 59yo ship, ran aground near Greece with 6.8k lambs on board.

📢 It's been 41°C in Perth where cattle were loaded onto live export ships in these extreme conditions. This is unacceptable.

The industry falsely claims ships have air conditioning. We're filing complaints about this inhumane practice. Support us and join the movement ✊

🚢 Cattle Update: Our community is outraged by cattle being loaded during a 40°C heatwave at Fremantle Port. These animals endured 2 days of extreme conditions before departure. 😭

We've lodged a formal complaint with DAFF but received no response. Support our mission on our website. #StopLiveExport

"After decades of allowing this suffering, Australia has finally legislated to phase out live sheep exports by sea by May 2028 — a move that seven in 10 Australians support.
This phase out is in limbo pending the outcome of the Federal election." thewest.com.au/opinion/cath...
Australia’s live sheep export trade is a sinking ship
The argument that we need live sheep exports to sustain economic growth and jobs is a fallacy.
