The boards are Kallistra Hexon, flocked by myself. The Chateau is a kit from Sarissa Precision, the other two buildings from an independent seller on eBay. Tree armatures are Woodland Scenics. Everything else scratch built by myself.

Nope, not at all. I use the hexes because they are easy to reconfigure into a 3'x3' layout when my modular boards are all 2'x2'. Also, these hexes are 100mm wide, so about 4", which is a key distance in the game. And when I run virtual games, this is great for players to judge distances.
