I also haven’t finished stringing the beads for my latest gay pride parasol. My apologies.

I was distracted by a beautiful new 8-pointed star pattern to which I added picots. 4000+ picots. I do love to crochet picots, but maybe not THIS much. Oops.

I think it’s gong to work! Super hopeful gay pride crochet!!

This is the last blocking before I finish & put it on the frame. I’m thinking I’ll add 2 more rounds and likely bead the edge so it drops down over the frame arms like a 70s lamp.

Then I should write down what I did so I can do it again.

Well, this pattern ended 8 rounds ago, so I’m making it up to accommodate a 48” parasol frame. Hope it works out bc I hate frogging whole mandala art doilies!!

Brand new patten for the NLCS game tonight. I don’t have a favorite of the Dodgers-Brewers, both teams play great baseball.

This pattern isn’t self-drafted. It’s printed in Cyrillic, so if you want the title and author, msg me. I’m quite excited about making something new-new.

Here’s an example of right side/wrong side differences as I’m making a parasol.

I work wrong side up, so every time I turn over a completed doily I’m surprised by the smooth, even look of the right side. If I get used to it, that may be a sign to stop. 👍

I 💜 my black desk top, but it makes black work very difficult to photograph, so I usually don’t try. This one will be 100% cotton black-lavender-orange yarn for Halloween 🎃.

Doilies, and eventually parasols, kept me crocheting after an injury to my hand stopped me from making amigurumi. Now they’re my favorite!

A 35” parasol is a pattern of my own design and it’s open facing the camera. This parasol has a pastel rainbow that’s starts at purple and fades through the colors to red at the edge. The pattern features different flower motifs.

This is a custom order from Ogden Pride of a pastel rainbow All Flowers pattern, but in 48” rather than 30” or 35”, with curved arms, so I’ll do the math to add tension on the outer rounds. I’ll add 3 more rounds & block it tonight.

Done with 2 days to spare before the #UtahArtsFestival the 19-22 in SLC. I’ll be making more parasols the entire time, crocheting, blocking, & attaching to frames.

The #yarn🧶 on this 48” parasol is 100% cotton #HobbiSultan although I did customize it by replacing blue with pink.

Decided I didn’t want the blue on this skein, preferring a pastel pink, & this is what it looks like to customize the colors.

I am actively crocheting with both the purple and pink, combining them as I stitch.
