Last week, I received the Kurt-Rothschild-Prize for Economic Research in the Austrian Parliament for my research on poverty risk within couples and my efforts to make my findings accesible to a broader public. Many thanks to the Karl-Renner-Institut for recognizing my work :-)

It explores how gendered career patterns among couples around first birth intersect with changes in individual poverty risk, i.e. under the assumption of no income pooling.

excited to share that I've started a postdoctoral position at the Chair of Family and Work (@katjamoe.bsky.social) at the University of Bamberg this month! I’m looking forward to be a part of the great research community here - and I’ve already become a big fan of the German Mensa system :-)
