This OECD report on page 14 says tax to gdp ratio in Denmark around 40 %. But not a tax expert.

Typical tax rate in Denmark around 38% depending on income level. It includes free health care, free education, one year paid maternity leave, subsidized kindergarden etc., etc.

Copenhagen has frequent metro, main busses every 7 minute and bike lanes so robocars probably not that competitive.

Agree. More reasons, some likely random. Which mattered most? Hard to tell now. Also different situations – more Danes hated Hitler than Americans hate Trump, I presume. I liked the early spread of simple moral rules, since it included also the fearful in a shared strategy.
