Continuing our tour of critical @wmata.com infrastructure, learning about the old but reliable signaling system. A top priority for our region needs to be funding for a new modern signaling system for Metrorail. It will allow for running more frequent trains.

Hard to believe Virginia state housing trust fund is just $87.5 million per year. For comparison, the state transportation budget is $8 bullion per year! (Attending the Virginia Housing Commission meeting with our @betterdcregion.bsky.social newest staff person Becca Dedert.)

Lots of folks at one of the City of Richmond bus hubs including someone heading to the airport. The #7 to the East End and RIC airport is more frequent now.

World trade passing the Staples Mill @Amtrak station just outside Richmond Virginia. Shipping by freight rail is certainly more fuel efficient and with far fewer emissions than trucking.
