The screen is actually on the VMU (Virtual Memory Unit) you insert into the controller. It was going to be a second screen for maps and inventory but was never well implemented. The VMU also had buttons and a d-pad you could play mini-games on which also was never well implemented.

About to fire up Doom (2016) for the first time in anticipation of Doom: The Dark Ages later this year. I’ve played a good bit of Doom Eternal and have heard 2016 is more classic Doom and a bit different than Eternal.

It’s set, I’m shocked SMU got in after they announced Clemson at 12 but I think it was the right decision. I wouldn’t change the automatic qualifiers but I would change the seeding to match the ranking order next year. This is going to be a blast. #GoDawgs

Quantum Beginnings, it’s about a college student who suffers severe brain damage and receives an AI chip implant allowing him to function normally again. About a 3rd of the way through it and enjoying it. It definitely makes you think about where all this AI is taking us.
