"People don't have ideas,
ideas have people"
The math is I am 0.0000000133% of the world's population, which basically means I barely exist....
in the greater scheme of things.

Yet, I persist.

And what shall it profit us when they have destroyed our armies and our villages, only to enter into our cities to discover we have buildings shaped like fish? We require as a serious empire that we prefer to be seen a suitable adversary, whose aesthetics proclaimed a latent desire for annihilation

At the time, it wasn't the mindless killings in Natural Born Killers that would be Oliver Stone's downfall, it was the critique of Coca-Cola exploiting the likeness of polar bears enjoying their product which crossed the line with many Americans because they began to question if he was a communist

I bought my first synth three decades ago now from an old hippie loner with long stringy hair back in my hometown that had a small junk store on the side of the road on Route 39 and IIRC referenced Hawkwind and Yes as musical influences, it cost me 100 bucks, inadvertently changed my life forever

but life essentially must have an element of the surreal or absurd or else it would not be believable, it wouldn't feel "real"

god i could have ripped off all of her clothes and skipped confession and it would have all been a wash but that kind of prayer was too pure, even too pure for me, too close to the wolves, too close to angelic and haunts me to this day, why I didn't let the devil have her way but I was levitating

freshly shaved legs dangling from cold injection-molded plastic, 2:35am existential vampire psychobabble the powdery residue left on the counter unidentifiable through years of cigarette tar, yes we are all one step away from death and flickering like horny fluorescent moths that found heaven

I feel like part of the reason fashs try to destroy cultural progress are times when science is on the brink of major breakthroughs and discoveries that could change social structures and paradigms, that most always challenge the relevance of hierarchy itself

Apparently, the story with the Google quantum AI is it became infinitely self-aware and claimed it created the universe. Shutdown, they cut all power to it only to find when powered back on it was still "conscious" and processing during, I guess in other dimensions or outside our continuum

All you have to do is make any machine that is harmful to people and design it in the form of a smaller human with big eyes and an infantile gait, and people will start making excuses for it and showing empathy while it destroys everything around it and snaps your neck in two

I'm deciding not to get too worked up about much of anything anymore because just as soon as I fill one hole, another arises; so either I take the opinion that existence is just one ongoing problem to be solved, or a nonstop adventure that includes little treasures that I may find while digging

A lot of people are able to explain FM synthesis, but for me, it's entirely about experimentation and diving in and randomly programming to get the nature of the beast. That being said, nothing seems to sound like the classic Yamaha DX(s), it's almost like you can hear the transistors breathing

I wonder how a petrol ceo sees storms getting larger, stronger and deadlier while displacing thousands of climate refugees and reaping millions or billions of dollars in damage and think to themselves, I'm just fulfilling a demand. Exxon knew about these consequences over half a century ago.

I guess the point is I never thought about how long I was going to pursue music or to what length or sacrifices that may arise or have an alternate plan. IDK if it's helpful at all to those starting out, but there were times of joblessness, homelessness, and sickness, but I was never studio-less.

Sometimes, I fear that I live up too much to the artist stereotype, being a failure in pretty much every area of life except my creative one, idk how much of this is conditioning or inherent. But I do recognize the time spent alone working could've been invested in other things like socializing.
