By their vote they have agreed to INCREASE the deficit to truly (in their own words) unsustainable levels. I trust they are proud of their vote.

I am not a math genius, but clearly, cutting taxes that will mean less revenue for the Federal Government. Less Revenues, even if spending stays the same will INCREASE the deficit, especially with interest rates going higher. The question remains, why reduce taxes if you are worried about deficits.

Bleak but true. To have any hope of rebuilding it, any Democratic president that comes next would have to match Trump’s aggressive pace and wield the executive branch to destroy the billionaires’ power for good and permanently safeguard our regulatory agencies. Hard to imagine.
