For example a couple months back when people were dog piling Chappell Roan (which I fully believe was manufactured hate) you had "people" who would go out of their ways to comment on every single post that defended her and tried to use the social pressure of virtual signaling...

The money and resources being funneled into narrative control on the internet through the use of bots and agents to make sure we're within the limits of acceptable conversation is staggering

Like every book on social media these days is just a surface level take on "We're more polarized, there's so much misinformation" but none of them investigate the influence that governments and rich folk have on these environments which now have the ability to fabricate entire realities

I'm calling it now: gonna come down to bezos vs musk and musk is gonna take it
