It’s no longer shocking that Trump uses his power to target an outspoken opponent—that’s the hallmark of authoritarianism.

What’s remarkable is that he did it less than 24 hours after signing a bill letting 8 GOP senators embezzle $500k–$1M from taxpayers.

Great framework from @leahgreenberg.bsky.social in today's "What's the Plan" - I heard it as a 2x2 assessment of how much of a fighter a Dem is (or not) - on one axis is how progressive they are, but on the other axis is how much they see today's situation as an emergency - super insightful

I don't follow much celeb goss because it mostly involves people I haven't heard of or don't care about, but Ozzy-fam vs. Roger Waters is the sweet spot for me of people saying mean things to people who are assholes. Lots of fun details! (though objectively awful of course)
The Osbourne Family Slams Roger Waters for Insulting Ozzy After His Death: ‘A Miserable, Ugly Human Being’ and a ‘F—ing C—‘
Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne are slamming Pink Floyd's Roger Waters for insulting Ozzy Osbourne after the latter's death.

GOP Tired: sex with 8-year olds
GOP Wired: sex with 15-year olds

(or something like that, bad taste skeet, I know, but the GOP minions trying to make the pedophile ring okay for reasons like this is in extremely bad taste already)

Okay so there's
1. The 3 emails the NYT just published (bad bad)
2. The shit-ton of emails the R's just released to try and drown us (really f'n bad)
3. The "files" which they are going to vote on next week (we have no idea)

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

I will continue to stand up to authoritarianism and call this out for what it is: a political prosecution.
