Yesterday, the very people who venerated Charlie Kirk, decided that his words about freedom of speech didn’t matter. I’m not sure whether to call this hypocrisy or fascism or merely a lust for power. But however, you name it, indicates a massive sea change in the history of the United States. (6/7)

But in light of all of this many on our side have been shocked with the way the man has been venerated; this includes me. Statements that are easy to find on his podcast, his Instagram and in general all around the Internet. He did make racist statements. He did make misogynistic statements. He did make antisemitic statements. There is no sense debating this; the proof exists, easily found. (3/7)

We didn’t celebrate Charlie Kirk’s murder. We were horrified by the way in which he lost his life. We’re saddened by the loss his widow and his fatherless children must feel. But we also said clearly that we disagreed with statements he made. (2/7)
