I’m Jewish. I spent the last 10 years teaching at an Episcopal school. We had chapel twice a month, and the precepts of the church were as active part of our curriculum. I’ve worked at a number of other schools in my 40 years of teaching but I felt the most comfortable expressing my Judaism (1/2)

Controversial opinion:
I think all Christians should celebrate Chanukah. If the Macabees hadn’t won back control of the Temple 163 years before the birth of Jesus, the events of his life (and death) might have been very different.

I made the decision to leave Twitter/X the day it became official that Elon had purchased it. I closed my account, deleted the app on my phone and iPad and haven’t looked back. I used Threads for a while but Blue Sky has had a more promising start. Here’s to positivity.
