Special thanks to @sokrypton.org for the project inspiration (check out py2dmol bsky.app/profile/sokr...)!

Built on the amazing Molstar* framework, with inspiration from the OG @dkoes.compstruct.org py3Dmol. 🫶
Is 3D dragging you down? Wish you could instead use the 2D ColabFold representation for all your work? 🤓

Introducing: py2Dmol 🧬

Huge thanks to everyone using nano-protein-viewer!

Your feedback shaped this release:

• Added pLDDT color mode
• Option to remove water molecules easily

Keep the suggestions coming 🙏

Molview also supports grid layouts for viewing multiple structures side by side and smooth transitions between single and grid view.

Perfect for comparing models or conformations at a glance ;)

Molview inherits all the core features from nano-protein-viewer:

• Color modes (chain, secondary, etc.)
• Surface & illustrative rendering
• Interactive control with optional side panel

No need to dig through docs — everything’s right in the widget :)
