Enjoyed spending time with culinary historian and friend Suzanne Corbett at Grant National Historic Site this holiday. Her vintage gingerbread and honey cake recipes are a delight and delicious.

Reflecting on my life journey @60. Humbly remembering accomplishments and achievements. So much more to do! Thanks to my family, friends, colleagues and special mentors for your guidance and encouragement.

During this season of thanks, I appreciate those family, friends and colleagues that share my values and are tirelessly working to make the world a better place.

During these oftentimes ridiculous - yet dangerous times - let’s renew our faith and friendships to fortify one another.

Awful renovation of Lincoln bath. More hotel style crap. 💩

Back in Lincoln’s day this was an office.

And WH baths then not marble laden!

Fearful of even more destruction of historical WH rooms.

Meanwhile it’s all distracting from the daily insanity people are becoming immune to.

Now more than ever, it’s imperative we honor and salute our queer lavender ancestors.

They fought and bled not to be erased - but serve as inspiring spirit guides.

History is a strategic form of advocacy! History is being written everyday, make sure your life journey and experience is included!

I am the founder of the St. Louis LGBT History Project -
the first community effort to preserve and promote the legacies of St. Louis’s lavender ancestors!

I am ensuring the study and research of LGBTQIA+ history through the Steven Louis Brawley Endowment at the MO History Museum.

An amazing night celebrating the amazing work of Missouri Humanities at their annual Gala. Many friends with Missouri Historical Society and The State Historical Society of Missouri in attendance. With Ashley Beard-Fosnow, Sam Moore, Amanda Clark, and mentor Dr. Blanche Touhill.

It’s not about the honors and awards - but it warms the heart and motivates the body - when the community says thanks! Now more than ever - #historymatters!

Former site of JJ'S CLUBHOUSE after fire on August 27.

FYI: A security firm is monitoring the site. I was yelled at for trespassing.

My White House Rose Garden photographs, 2007. On a private tour in 1999, I stood on the Oval Office patio and took in the magnificence of the Garden in the Spring moonlight. I can still close my eyes and imagine it’s beauty. Horrified by its demise.
