I'm a home brewer with an interest in making good beer, cider, fruit wine, sake & mead. I'm a film photographer on hiatus; I have a Bachelor of Computing & a fancy MBA (with an added specialisation in Journalism & Media Studies). Kampai!!

Another great photograph of those hop gardens that used to exist on the last bend of the river before New Norfolk proper... just down the hill from the old oast house that still exists as a part of somebody's house... it's now a dog walking track and park area (regularly floods)

And it's not like I'm a total IT moron, either. I have a Bachelor of Computing that included having to get Cisco CCNA 1 and CCNA 2 certification.

Totally pissed that my three RAPT products that cost over AUD$200 instantly stopped working when they flipped the switch to activate our FTTP NBN connection a month ago. Wifi products that don't connect to Wifi are useless.

the sad part about every weekend is that on Friday I already know how I'm going to feel on Sunday knowing how long it is until Friday when I can have beer again

You don't hear a lot about the war in Portland anymore... I'm assuming all the blow up outfits were popped and everyone returned the their favourite craft beer bars?

I was today old (last night) when we went to a comedy panel show that will be aired next year and learned that they don't just sit down for 30 minutes, joke a bunch and leave... all sorts of stuff happens in between bits and then redoing parts. How did I not know that??

Spring was absolute cold and rainy rubbish this year and with only a few days left until Summer (yes we call the seasons on the 1st of every three months) we were 6 Celsius below average yesterday. And it's cold again today. Still sleeping with two doonas. Tasmania.

No luck on getting the RAPT Temperature Controller and RAPT Pill(s) working with the new Telstra NBN supplied modem. Tomorrow I'll go back and factory reset the RAPT gear and reboot the modem - hoping it's not the modem software.

Since the upgrade to NBN and the new position of the router (so we added a booster in the hallway downstairs) the RAPT Pill(s) and RAPT Temperature Controller have just not properly connected to the network. Technology can go fuck itself. And ball to big old houses.
