Not much we can do about it now. Need to salvage the season and get Top 5. Starting on Sunday. Never would have envisaged this pre season. Remarkable turn of events.

As in they couldn't afford or legislate for more signings after such an influx? I suppose time will be the judge on that. 35m on Frimpong is an odd one.
November 28, 2025 at 3:01 PM
They bought a load of players without any tactical plan. If fhere was one, it was hugely flawed.
November 28, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Even the Frimpong signing. runner. Limited with buiid up. If you're playing Wirtz as your 10, who's giving him the ball. Where's your off ball balance with two of Mac/Grav/Szobo/Jones. Surely you don't think Cody can replicate what Diaz gave. Where's your pace in attack. No plan, Kev. Wing/Prayer

Hughes has two windows to save his job. If Slot goes, he'll be under review, too. Best pals with Edwards, though. Hope Arne turns it around and rebalance the squad ( RB, CB, DM & LW).
November 28, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Not just Slot. I don't bring Rio or Chiesa much to the conversation. The coach has no interest. The answer remains. What were we doing giving Gakpo the keys to the LW position. Who replaces Mo during AFCON. It's carnage.
November 28, 2025 at 2:37 PM
Take into account the massive black hole when it comes to build up on the whole right side. There's no balance or synergy anywhere. Gakpo has zero peripheral vision to see or combine with Kerkez. This is still a big rebuild. Hughes has questions to answer.
November 28, 2025 at 2:36 PM
"They don't want to block Rio's path." How many minutes for the 17 year old now? Minimal. Chiesa. Minimal.

We've essentially got no pace on either flank, and the "wing reserves" are never utilised.
November 28, 2025 at 2:34 PM
That's fair. What about Hutchison taking him apart from Forest's third. His legs are gone. One game a week is only ally going forward.
November 28, 2025 at 2:17 PM
It's absolutely remarkable, Dan. I watched Robertson for Scotland 10 days ago. Got consistently beaten on the outside and inside. Legs are gone. This Kerkez narrative is off the scale. Exhibit A

With all due respect, Lubo. That's just nonsense. You can't accuse Klopp of being less brave when you attain 97 & 92 points and come up short. I just can't entertain that.
November 27, 2025 at 8:19 PM
He came up against a financially doped behemoth at the peak of Guardiola/City's power. No coach in the history of English football had to deal with a team of that quality, consistency, and level. Klopp did. Just very unlucky. Crap officiating to from Manc pricks like Coote.
November 27, 2025 at 8:13 PM
You can't ever pick holes out of 97 and 92 point campaigns. It's just serious nit picking. I'm sure we stole 2 points in some games during them seasons
November 27, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Worst run in 70 years I think i read. It's now or never for Slot. 1-2 more of these insipid performances/results, and it's curtains. A big part of me wants him to come through the fog.
November 27, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Slot needs to mix it up. Change formation. Put Endo in. At least he'll put his foot in. He plays with the right attitude. You need a platform to press. We had Fab/Wijnaldum at Klopp's peak. All our mids want to get ahead of the ball. There's so many issues and positional holes. Hard to see the light
November 27, 2025 at 5:50 PM
The midfield is shocking, Kev. On and off the ball. An absolute disgrace. The attack is profligate and Konate is making errors, but that's your engine room. Soft bag of shit.
November 27, 2025 at 5:40 PM
The sad thing is. Even if we win 2-0 at West Ham on Sunday, I'd still be worried about Sunderland next Wednesday. I just think this is it now. Woeful to good and back again. Dressing room lost.
November 27, 2025 at 1:06 PM
We don't know how fsg view it. They'll be so reluctant to pull the plug. Huge respect there for Slot, I'd imagine. Club comes first, though. No redeeming features. It's a hellscape back to front. I don't see any way out. Same soup reheated every game.
November 27, 2025 at 12:54 PM
If he loses to West Ham it's untenable, Kev. It's unprecedented. You cannot survive losing so many games. Targets need to be met.
