Well that’s something I didn’t expect to experience
again soon. To stand in a huge Russian crowd and feel not discomfort but warmth — for a sold-out Russian-only #QEH performance of fab comedy with 86-year-old “foreign agent” star Lia Akhedzhakova, standing ovations. Non-Putin Russias do exist…

Looks great!, look forward, thanks for superb reporting. On the smallest of serendipities (am guessing you weren’t aware, or honoured if so…) — same publishers published book of mine with very similar title many years ago. A time when tentative hope still seemed possible, despite everything
