Greens Senator for Vic. Living and working on stolen land. She/her
The gov has approved 32 new coal & gas projects, & when you count the emissions from our coal and gas exports, 🇦🇺 is the 2nd LARGEST CLIMATE POLLUTER ON 🌎.

The people are here at Rising Tide to shut down the biggest problem and build the biggest solution. It’s amazing to see.

There's an entire shopping list of things we could fix with even a fraction of the money we are throwing at AUKUS.

Instead, this gov't is throwing our collective wealth into a project that fuels an arms race and shackles us to an increasingly unstable US.

As Pacific climate leader Joseph Sikulu said, “If anybody is owed a COP in this world, it’s the Pacific.”

Leaders in the Pacific have deep, proven climate credentials on the world stage. They should lead alongside us.

Labor's pushing their environment reform laws as "common sense".

But making native forest logging and polluting fossil fuel projects easier isn't common sense.

All the Greens want are nature laws that actually protect nature. Pretty simple, right?

On Monday, I tabled the cohealth petition with 6,000+ signatures calling on the state and federal govt to keep the doors to these vital health centres open.

Without urgent intervention, 12,000+ people will lose access to affordable, essential healthcare.

Labor: do the right thing. Save cohealth.

Frankly, the PM failing to attend this year's COP is a massive cop out.

He should be doing everything to secure the bid to host COP31 in Adelaide next year, which could be a defining moment for Australia to show genuine leadership & put an end to dirty new coal and gas projects.

Zohran's win shows what happens when leaders back bold reforms like universal early education.

Labor should pay attention.

Australian students pay four times more in HECs repayments than the gas industry pays in PRRT currently.

Australian nurses pay more tax than the gas industry.

Australians are footing the bill for a public resource they no longer control.

Families, farmers, small businesses, and manufacturers are bearing the cost while gas giants record billions in profits and get away without paying their fair share of tax.

Every year, horses are pushed beyond their limits, lives are lost on the track, and gambling addiction harms thousands of families across the country.

We cannot allow cruelty and suffering to go on.

Time and time again, we see the vast wealth in our country (and the world), yet only a handful actually benefit. We have to ask: who is our economy & country working for?

Not the student pulling double shifts to pay for uni, or the mum who sees her entire wage go to childcare.

95% of childcare centres opened over the past decade are run by providers trying to make a profit.

The direction is clear: we’re moving further away from a system that serves children and families, and deeper into one that serves balance sheets.

1) Healthcare and childcare CEOs and top execs are getting rich by failing us.

They rake in millions in bonuses even as their companies rack up fines for misconduct or face safety breaches.

Today's Four Corners reporting has again laid bare the deep issues around quality and safety in our early childhood education and care system.

This government has a responsibility to keep our children safe. What we need to see is leadership, not reactiveness.

I asked the Minister if the gov't will act on the rec of the Productivity Commission to set up an independent ECEC Commission, and she confirmed it would be considered.

An ECEC Commission is key to fixing the broken system, and is something we'd been long advocating for.

Research from the Centre for Public Integrity has revealed that the Albanese Government is worse than the Morrison Government when it comes to refusing Senate Orders for the Production of Documents.

If Labor wants to govern for people, not profits, it needs to open its books.
