Tbf university logos aren’t great either. Here’s the new-ish one of mine. You rotate it 90 degrees left and, well, yeah.

I have been reading everything I can find by Claire Keegan. She is a superb writer. Her concision and precision is why she is continually compared, correctly, to Chekhov. This para from her Night of the Quicken Trees in Walk the Blue Fields for example, and his Oysters: ibiblio.org/eldritch/ac/...

Just back from talking about Ireland's future at IDA Ireland's annual conference. I took the opportunity of a keynote to say thank you. They really have delivered for Ireland. Read more about what I told them in Thursday's The Currency column but tl; dr, the future is bright if we work at it.

Called it a few years ago. Next general election boils down to who owns assets, or not. Owners want prices to rise. Would be asset owners want them to fall. You'll have 'prices up' and 'prices down' parties.

Irish kids absolutely smashing PISA maths & literacy scores here, particularly on the variation between lowest and highest achievers, meaning we carry more people with us, than many other countries. Maths score is v. good, reading is great. Teachers should be very proud. www.gov.ie/pdf/?file=ht...

The fact that people in the Republic wouldn't be up for reunification if it cost them is not news. The fact that you could swing it in the North for 3,500 per person per year is definitely news. www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2023...
