Because it captures the essence of who Charlie Brown is. He never kicks the football, he never gets the little redheaded girl, he will always lose. But he keeps trying, that was Charles M Schultz's point. Any media that has him 'win' is not staying true to the original vision.

I got a D.M. stream from a guy who wanted "sexy talk". I kept politely demurring, Boycotting his advances as it were, and he seems to have disappeared completely.

A show that mutated. I think they were trying to capture the Partridge Family vibe. Something that would have been impossible without a manager like Reuben Kincaid. As brilliantly played by Dave Madden.
