Or in my case, a crazy mother who *Supposedly nicked named me Stacy (bc she read in an Agatha Christie novel a girl was named Stephanie but nick named Stacy) even tho my birth certificate states Stephanie (named after my brother Stephen)…try explaining that to the DMV clerk.
