The end to Q’s race seemed like one more little dying of the light among so many others. But this Iditarod…somehow seems even better than if he’d finished the competition?!?

(3/3) Puck is not a fan of the horses, but he really likes the poop. I’m indifferent to the poop, but I really like the horses.

(2/?) I can camp on it occasionally, which I did last month and am now. 
To my surprise and delight: there are pronghorn antelope, horned larks, and freaking *wild horses.* I see a band of seven in the distance right this minute, and last month we came across a group of 20.

I love this, Paul! A confession: I don't know Joni's work much beyond the big hits. Just because a) I feel like she calls for a thoughtful, sit-down first listen rather than the while-doing-something-else listening I've gotten used to and b) where do you even start? This gives me a starting point :)
