Republicans understand that the best way to kill social programs is to paint their beneficiaries as Black, as support for these programs declines — even amongst white people who need them — when they think large numbers of Black people will benefit.

I have questions about this article’s leanings. First, it repeatedly cites “economic harm” from this tax without explaining anything about what that would be. Second, the tags at the bottom of the article include “Joe Biden” for some bizarre reason. Not screaming credibility.
