You know why I love reading? These days it’s one of the few respites from being constantly advertised to.

I finally watched Mikey and Nicky. It's not easy to make a film about two deeply unlikeable characters like this & have it be disturbing yet captivating & stand the test of time. Spectacular acting by all & it goes without saying, Elaine May is magnificent & deserves more credit. #filmsky #moviesky

Mary Tyler Moore accidentally nailed a perfect trick shot in *The Dick Van Dyke Show* (1962)—on the FIRST take.

It was supposed to be done by a pro, but she shocked everyone and pulled it off herself. Absolute legend. 🎱✨

I'm in dire need of a new installment of the Beef documentary series dedicated to Kendrick vs Drake. Send Ving Rhames his check to narrate so this dream can become a reality. #hiphop #blacksky

Starting out this cloudy morning with a lovely cup of Paris inspired tea from the wonderful Portland Oregon tea company Stash. For any other tea fans that may be interested, I'd say this is a surprisingly high quality tea for a bagged tea. Think earl gray but with vanilla & lavander. #tea #pdx

Without question, diverse sounds and textures can aid a song, however, can those of us that produce music consider not putting sirens in songs that are obviously made to be blasted in a car? Why are we stressing out the listener like this? #musicproducer #musicprodsky #music

You know what movie was fabulous this year but I don't hear enough people talking about? The absolutely joyous Thelma. Crappy day? Watch Thelma. Would like something heartwarming, funny, and with a touch of senior citizen badassery? Watch Thelma. Just watch Thelma. #film #movie #filmsky

Yeah, there's been a few tiny blips but considering how many people have moved here and how quickly, it's really impressive how the Bluesky team has kept this place running so smoothly.

I just found out that Andre 3000's flute album doesn't count toward his record contract. While I'm not surprised, considering how record labels often are, this has to be the first not counted album that's been nominated for album of the year at the Grammy's. What a strange reality. #music

I finally got my life together and watched the gloriousness that is Le Cercle Rouge. It's hard to pick a favorite Jean-Pierre Melville film, but this is instantly very high on the list. #filmsky

I know that saying the vibes here are outrageously better than the bad place is not exactly the most original musing at the point but truly, it's delightful to see actual respectful conversations commencing.

I've been here a while but haven't posted. Each time I return, it feels like the old days of that other social media platform and I must say, it's incredibly refreshing.
