First pass at a Call (level). I still need to add weapons and enemies but I have to write those first so I can tell what icons to download from game-icons.net. Or which ones I have to make myself.

Ohhhhhh baby I'm cooking. FIST is really fun to hack, it turns out. I love making two special interests (Hotline Miami and TTRPGS) kiss and make out and have nasty sex.

When you get a roll of 10 or higher when attacking an enemy you gain a stacking +1 bonus to future attack rolls until you roll a 9 or lower OR double 1s, at which point the bonus resets to 0. Once per game you can hit a trickshot on an enemy (360 shot, jump shot, slide shot, etc.) and instantly gain +2 to your combo bonus. +1 TACTICAL, +1 CREATIVE (32) Mole: You make holes. You have a 3-in-1d6 chance to create an opening in any wall you attack with a melee weapon. Anyone directly on the other side of a wall you break through gets knocked down. Once per game you can automatically break through a wall and automatically kill anyone directly on the other side. +1 FORCEFUL, +1 CREATIVE, +1 TACTICAL, -1 REFLEXIVE (33) …

Got a grip of Masks done :) they each have a Skill and a Weapon or Item that they start with. The mask you pick or roll is also your character name.

Ok, I'm going to share a bit more about this. The game is called Moving On // Disengagement. I'm hoping to have it playable by the end of the week, and out to the world after playtests and edits in the next edition of Sprigs and Kindling. After that it will be PWYW on itch and dtrpg. Here's a taste.

The body of the text reads as follows: Moving On // Disengagement is a solo journaling game about coming to terms with an incredibly painful breakup, or in the ending of a relationship, that uses the Carved from Brindlewood mystery framework. This game will ask you to reflect on an impactful romantic relationship, real or otherwise, and the faults of all parties involved. This game will ask you to reflect on those faults, and what caused the relationship to end. This game will ask you to reflect on that ending and, ideally, help you come to terms with it. The body of the text reads as follows: On October 18th, 2023, I met the love of my life. They are the most incredible person I’d ever met, and the most beautiful human being on this planet. On March 19th, 2024, we proposed to one another. We had been living together for a number of months before that. Our wedding date was set for October 18th, 2027. On July 1st, 2024, another woman was added to our relationship. She is an incredible person and beautiful in her own right. She was in an abusive relationship at the time, and it was hard to accept that and move forward with our own relationship despite that. In October of 2024 we both moved into her house with her after the abusive now-ex had moved out. On February 15th, 2025, the day after valentine’s day, the stress of so many rapid changes and the fact that I had been drifting away from both of them caused me to have one of the worst mental breakdowns I’ve had in years. On February 16th, 2025, they both broke up with me. A week later I moved out of their house and back in with my parents, one of which is an incredible parent and the other one of my biggest abusers. At each of their requests, I kept contact with my ex-fiancee and cut contact with my ex-girlfriend. On March 8th, 2025, I cut contact with my ex-fiancee even though all I want is to stay in their life. I did this so I could focus on myself and healing, instead of desperately trying to maintain a dying friendship. This game is the result of me needing to write, needing to vent, and needing to find a way to move on. I started work on this game on March 14th, 2025. As of writing I’m still healing, I’m still learning, and I’m still stuck in that headspace of loss. I miss them both terribly, though admittedly one more than the other, which is something I can’t help but feel shame over.

Direct the following to the Hunter with the highest Presence, or one of your choice: You used to be a regular member of the Shipwrights Arms social club—a group catering to the social elite that Mister Derrickson managed and Mister Trevis was a member of. Yesterday morning, a story was printed in the far-less-credible Illustrated Police News—submitted by an anonymous writer—that suggests Derrickson and Trevis were actually abducted and turned into mellified men, then distributed via the pop-up stalls on Tooley Street. What’s more, the report claims that the miracle solution actually works. Direct the following to the Mother, or the Hunter of your choice: You’re familiar with the mellification process, and it typically takes hundreds of years to create a single mellified man. What detail in the tabloid convinces you this isn’t an elaborate hoax, and that whoever is making these miracle confections is doing so at a supernaturally rapid pace? A bulleted list of Clues for a custom Threat for The Between: - Rumors that without Miles around Zillah may have to sell her home at 90 Tooley street to make ends meet. - People’s eyes glow yellow after being cured by the Men, Mellified. - A story about the rise and fall of the Plutonians at the hands of the Venusians masterfully etched into a surface. - A side-character has a strange allergy (Cold iron, Running water, Church bells, something else). - A pillar of sweet, yellow smoke briefly seen from Cotton’s Wharf. Rumors that one of the Men, Mellified is a deposed noble. - A line of people in ragged clothing and caricature masks of the Queen cast in beeswax loudly mock the monarchy.
