Yes the fragmentation of sports across so many providers is not good. In combination with a poor economy for many, it ultimately leads to increased pirating for some and diminished interest in those sports for others.

Sometimes there are consequences for not making the playoffs 3 years in a row. Less national exposure is one of them.

Maybe Wayfair had a good quarter because they sell relatively inexpensive things. Maybe people are struggling so when they need a sofa they shop at Wayfair instead of the more expensive places they used to shop at. But Wayfair invested a lot in AI so they have to justify it.

That all sounds great but just try using the Wayfair website to shop for sofas. There is nothing about that experience that seems remotely similar to what they are describing there.

Probably just a matter of time though. He won’t be allowed back unless he goes on air and apologizes and I don’t think he’ll do that. They’ll fire him or, more likely, pay out his contract and just keep him off the air.
