Every day he plumbs new depths of Can You Believe This Loser Shit. You think you’ve reached the bottom of the Marianas Trench of Can You Believe This Loser Shit but then there’s a bang and a lurch and your little internet bathyscaphe plunges into a new fissure of Can You Believe This Loser Shit.

Hello it’s me Sam Altman I have a zillion dollar idea it’s a chat bot that tells teenagers to kill themselves and you can generate csam with it and it poisons the air and water and it’s wrong most of the time and we’re going to put it in your refrigerator and stuff 👍 I need more money for this btw

While defending the luddite argument in Discord, I stumbled into this IMO succinct explanation for opposing generative AI:

oh my gosh their arguments against this being a class action lawsuit are so goofy. its bad because "seven million claimants would kill the company" and "it would be difficult to figure out the rights and compensation for each of the 7 million" so whyd you steal from 7 million people??? dingus!

I can't tell what's the most fucked up thing here:

1. "My son fell in love with chatGPT, but when his girlfriend got deleted, he became suicidal."

2. "I told the cops that my son was planning to commit suicide by cop, so they came over and shot him."

3. "I wrote my son's obituary using chatGPT."
this is the most dystopian article I've ever read. wow.
