*net worth, dammit! But if you have a great net-work of ultra-wealthy people that could also be useful..?

It’s also bizarre because, as Adam points out in the video, *literally no-one* is cutting international aid in order to fund climate mitigation.

I’ve got this great idea—why don’t we encourage improving the world in multiple ways at once, because many of them are positive-sum economically anyway?

The charitable reading of the piece is that $1 spent on health rather than climate would be more effective at improving human lives…which is almost certainly true in certain cases, but it’s an absolutely baffling point to make when there are so many outright wasteful forms of spending in the world!

(If you’re a billionaire—or, heck, even just worth a few million and looking for a good cause—get in touch to talk to me about longevity science!)

(And, regardless of your net work, check out the piece!)

I made a video about lipid nanoparticles a few years ago—they really are the unsung heroes of the mRNA vaccines! Everyone concentrates on the code inside, but the envelope you deliver it in is pretty important too…

I clearly need to go and read the actual paper!

But this is super-interesting. I wonder what’s causing it? Some of the immune response to mRNA vaccines is a general annoyance of the immune system resulting from the lipids the mRNA is packaged in, so perhaps we just need to rile things up a bit?!
Not even, it's almost the control experiment following on from experiments comparing RNA vaccines encoding personalised tumor antigens versus more general tumor antigens.
So cool to start teasing out how the platform plays a role Vs what it encodes

It’s always fun when the active control group does well… :)
