Dream Rigger for 2D is almost having same feature as like 3D that have!

Utilizing _get, _set with silenting notification can take over it's behavior!

As you can see, the flip behavior is affected by the parent node, unlike the flip behavior, which is independent of the sprite.

Now I can unionize DreamRiggerPart to Sprite2D/3D!

Porting Dream Rigger to 2D...

As my intention, 3D will still be alive for future.

I did migrated my physics based platformer character from 3D to 2D environment!

But uh, this was required pixels per unit for equality.
(100pixels per unit for velocity calculation for now)

I've added some transformations to make the coordinate-related manipulation behavior of the scratchpad as close to what you see as possible, so that things like position and angle adjust to the direction you're rubbing.

And now... Dream Rigger looks a little bit like beta 1.0.

I've just added flips and rotation Z to Dream Rigger's scratch pad, and some UX improvement by visualizing current state of scratch pad's target properties.

Rotate and selecting sprites with it feels better!

There's some few issues with transforms, hope I can fix it quickly.

My first animation with Dream Rigger beta (testing record feature for AnimationPlayer)

I can't believe it, but now all I have to do is create the resource and compose the animation...

I've been doing replace Dream Rigger inspector's controls to familiar editor inspector's standard controls using EditorInspector's instantiate_property_editor.

docs.godotengine.org/en/latest/cl...

Oh, also you can rename joints too.

Just tried to testing productivity of current version of Dream Rigger, seems kinda flawless for me, but there's still improvements to do beside of usability.

Here's first initial complete draft of Dream Rigger's scratch pad!

You can manage all of these part/sprite values into one panel, just like shortcuts but for mouse composition!

There's still more things to do...
(i.e. auto insert key for animation player, base inspectors)

Introducing... Scratch pad!

In Dream Rigger, you can 'scrubbing' scratch pad to quickly compose parts to make up character's pose!

Hopefully this approach also effective for composing joints too.

This video shows a rough workflow for Dream Rigger.

I think I'm comfortable with not moving the mouse around as much, but I'm still not quite there yet with navigating the poses, so I'll probably have to add sprite shortcuts.

Here's first draft of quick handle idea for Dream Rigger, so you can control values 2 dimensional way inside of inspector!

I'd like to try an on-screen solution, but until I resolve the conflict with the default gizmos, I'm probably going to have to create content with this...

Dream Rigger is almost complete for initial features on beta!

- Gonna make shortcuts soon (change poses, compose offset and z layer, joints, etc)
- Gonna ship quick handle for offset, z layer, joint position (imagine like drag numeric value via label name in Unity/Godot)

Just finished joint list's operation, preparing inspector in Dream Rigger control panel.

I have to do refactor 'ItemList' to make it reusable with undo/redo feature...
Gonna use it for joint list too.

Working on managing joints with gizmo handles in DreamRigger, it can be edited while selecting joint in inspector.

Should I keep posting about Dream Rigger tooling with this account?

I implemented rearrange pose sprites with drag/drop today btw.

I finished big refactor that turn indexes to UIDs in Dream Rigger.
In doing so, I've seen how it will handle migrations later on, and it doesn't look promising, but look at this!
Now I have to get back to work on reordering the pose sprites and other things.
