I think we are evolving as a species and as a country and sometimes evolution and change are painful. Improvement is never a straight upward arrow. We improve a little and then we fall back, but overall our trajectory is a positive one. The administration we have now is clinging to old ways.

I think that when you demonstrate hatred for people because they have a different skin color than you, or because they speak a different language than you, or because they love differently than you, you are putting out a message of intolerance that has become distasteful in our society.
