I understand why they covet these places. To Trump this is real estate. A way to enrich his friends.
But these spaces were meant to enrich ALL Americans. With their beauty, their serenity, their reminder that we are stewards of this planet, not landlords.

Political education, and a strong knowledge of history, is so important to this moment. Ppl in Canada and the US all along the political spectrum have a deep history of normalizing the most appalling kinds of violence as long as those being assaulted are out of sight or seen to deserve it somehow.
