In New York, he coached notables such as Becky Hammon, Teresa Weatherspoon, and Sue Wicks to great success.

Not only that, you have the primary investor and league chair giving quotes to the media like this one: “On one hand, this is an emerging sport in that it doesn’t exist. On the other hand, it’s America’s national pasttime. There’s nothing emerging about it.” I’m sorry but WHAT? If women’s baseball doesn’t exist, where is the pipeline for this league coming from? If women’s baseball doesn’t exist, who has been playing on the U.S. Women’s National Baseball Team all these years, and who have they been facing in the international Women’s Baseball World Cup? If women’s baseball doesn’t exist, what sport have I been covering for the past 10+ years?

Minnesota Supreme Court Affirms Trans Inclusion in Sports in Landmark Decision ST PAUL, MN – Today, the Minnesota Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling in Cooper v. USA Powerlifting, affirming that transgender athletes have the right to compete in sports without discrimination under the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA). The decision also clarified the harmful precedent set in Goins v. West Group only applies in the employment context, and the court did not consider whether to overturn Goins because Cooper’s case is not an employment case. “This ruling sends a clear and powerful message: transgender people have a right to enjoy public spaces in Minnesota like sporting events, restaurants, and movie theaters, free from targeted discrimination,” said Jess Braverman, Legal Director at Gender Justice. “This decision is a historic victory for fairness, equity, and the fundamental rights of all Minnesotans.” This ruling clarifies that all public accommodations in Minnesota, including sports organizations, must ensure their policies comply with Minnesota’s anti-discrimination laws. The implications of this decision extend well beyond sports to other facets of public life. This ruling reinforces the principle that every person deserves equal access to opportunities and spaces where they can thrive and belong. “While we celebrate this victory, we remain vigilant,” added Braverman. “Across the country, anti-trans legislation and legal battles continue to threaten the rights and freedom of trans people. Spreadsheet season is looking dire for the first month, folks. Losing St. Francis Brooklyn and spurning St. John's and Columbia due to administrative issues (different administrative issues) is really fucking with my ability to get to weeknight games. #ncaaw #wcbb
An Excel spreadsheet showing the schedules of several New York metro area teams for the first month or so of the season. A distressing number of the weekday games start at 6PM or even earlier. Weekends are highlighted in yellow and have almost no games. This is a problem.
