#Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured these images of sand dunes covered by frost just after winter solstice. The frost here is a mixture of carbon dioxide snow and water ice. It will disappear when spring arrives.

The delicate rings of Saturn. Remember, the rings aren’t solid objects but are instead composed of billions of bits of ice. In some places, you can see right through the rings!
