That’s amazing. My favorite was a few years ago when my very small honors geometry class named themselves “Euclid’s Saucy Posse.” This job never gets boring.

When I was teaching in rural Alabama, a common theme was that my students didn’t even realize that they *could* go to college. They believe (often incorrectly) that they won’t be accepted or don’t know about financial aid resources, so they don’t even start the application process!

I didn’t realize this was an ADHD thing until like two years ago. I thought everyone else also went weeks at a time only eating imitation crabmeat and just didn’t talk about it. But yes, I start feeling my enthusiasm fade and find myself trying to keep liking the thing before I just can’t anymore.
