If enough people willingly elect liars & cheats or want a vindictive idiot in charge then tragically (and I am deeply saddened by this) there's no solution except to try to make sure there will be fair elections in the future & allow the self-inflicted consequences to educate voters.

In the image below we can see your "awol" statement that ends with "we don't have indigenous capacity", then you ask about lead times, then you say that "it wont be achieved by more weapons". I'm not quoting you out of context - you argument is quite clearly "we are weak, so shouldn't fight".

In the thread you said "we'll struggle to cope without the Americans" then you asked "how long it takes to make arms factories" & then you said "this isn't going to be solved by more weapons." Whilst you might not have used the words appeasement, that was certainly the road you were on.

I think that there are certainly enough - and more will come as Trumps announcements keep on rolling through.
