Officials said the investigations were conducted over several months and targeted illegal drug activity across Independence, Stone, Fulton, Cleburne, and Izard counties. The operations involved coordinated efforts among local, county, and state law enforcement agencies.

PARAGOULD, Ark. — Police arrested a Paragould defendant after an alleged domestic disturbance in which the alleged victim reported being choked, according to a probable-cause affidavit. Mark Powers, 30, of Paragould, was arrested on a Class D felony charge of aggravated assault on a family or household member. Bail had not yet been set as of this report. Police responded around noon on Nov.

JONESBORO, Ark. — Jonesboro police arrested a Brookland defendant after an alleged break-in and attack during a domestic disturbance earlier this week, according to a probable-cause affidavit. Sean C. Foley, 39, of Brookland, faces a Class Y felony charge of aggravated residential burglary. He also faces misdemeanor counts of third-degree domestic battery, first-degree interference with emergency communication, second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor, second-degree criminal mischief, and criminal trespass.

According to a probable cause affidavit, on Aug. 20, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were patrolling the area of Browns Lane and Highland Avenue when they observed a light-colored Nissan Altima make an improper right turn.

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police said he attacked a woman during a domestic disturbance, pulled her out of the shower, and later pointed a gun at her while threatening to kill her and himself. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded on Nov. 11 to a residence for a domestic disturbance involving Joshua William Midgett, 26, of Oklahoma.

JONESBORO, Ark. — A suspect was arrested after police said he tried to break into an apartment on Arch Street while already on probation. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department responded around 8:41 p.m. Nov. 11, to an apartment at the 1700 block of Arch Street for a report of an attempted break-in. The alleged victim told officers that when he returned home, a suspect with a bicycle pulling a trailer was standing in front of his apartment, later identified as Terry Henson.

PARAGOULD, Ark. — A Paragould man was arrested this week on multiple felony charges after police said he was recorded making death threats and later found with illegal drugs at his home. According to a probable cause affidavit, Lonnie R. Cole Jr., 36, was the subject of two separate incidents reported on Nov. 11 in which he was recorded threatening to kill others.

JONESBORO — A Marion man is facing several felony charges after police said he severely beat a woman during a domestic assault earlier this month while her young child was nearby. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department were dispatched Nov. 8 to the 3400 block of Sun Avenue for a report of domestic battery that had already occurred.

JONESBORO — A Jonesboro woman is facing multiple charges after police said she was found behind the wheel while intoxicated, with an open bottle of vodka in her car. According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Jonesboro Police Department observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway with its emergency flashers on near the intersection of Ferrell and West Matthews on Nov.

CORNING — A pedestrian was killed Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 62 East near Victory Lake Road. According to Corning Police Chief Blaine McClung, the incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 10. Officers from the Corning Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, and Arkansas State Police responded to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Clay County coroner was notified. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity. Chief McClung said additional information will be made available at a later date as the investigation continues.

MARIANNA, Ark. — The Marianna Police Department (MPD) has asked the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate a homicide that occurred on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the corner of Alabama and Chestnuts streets. The MPD received multiple 911 calls at about 12:44 a.m., reporting a shooting in the parking lot of a convenience store located at the intersection.
